Garden | Mindful Living | Well-Being
I begin each morning by walking my dogs through my Cotswold garden. In that quiet moment, my senses gently awaken as I follow the winding path, guided by nature’s botanicals. Their delicate scents linger in the air – fresh figs in the walled garden, soothing lavender on the terrace and the gentle warmth of citrus in the orangery.
It is this fleeting trail of scent that inspired the creation of Bamford’s new Garden Candle Collection. To me, it is a tribute to nature’s unique ability to both ground and uplift – capturing the enduring joy my garden brings me in a way that is tangible and can be shared with others.
To celebrate the launch, the brilliant Billy Barraclough came to photograph my garden in late May. Shooting on 645 film, he captured a dreamy, nostalgic quality I adore – slightly hazy and golden, just like the very hot day on which the images were taken.

I’ve shared a selection here for you to enjoy. Should you would wish to experience the fragrances for yourself, the candles are available in our Bamford Wellness Spas or at bamford.com. The scents include Fig, Rose, Citrus, Lavender and The Orangery. I’m hesitant to pick a favourite, but the latter feels particularly special – inspired by one of the oldest and most peaceful buildings in the garden, built in 1790. I shared this glimpse inside on my Instagram last week
