Launching our Garden Candle Collection at Chelsea Flower Show

I have always loved visiting the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Every year, it offers a wealth of inspiration for my own garden, as well as for the gardens at Daylesford farm. It is also a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow growers and horticulturalists, sharing ideas and a mutual love for nature.

Last year, Bamford hosted an award-winning stand called The Potting Shed – and this year, I am delighted to see our new Bamford Garden Candle Collection launch exclusively at the Highgrove Shop, with proceeds going to support The King’s Foundation.

Highgrove has long stood as a symbol of the enduring relationship between nature, craftsmanship and conscious living – values I share with His Majesty King Charles III. We both converted our farms to organic practices in the early 1980s, well before the benefits of sustainable agriculture, soil, biodiversity and organic food production entered the mainstream. I will always be grateful for his support and counsel and it feels like a privilege to now see this collection displayed at the Highgrove Shop. It’s a beautifully scented showcase of shared commitment to nature and sustainable craftsmanship.

Each of the five candles in our Garden Collection is inspired by a different area of my garden at home in the Cotswolds. I begin each morning by walking my dogs, and in that quiet moment, my senses gently awaken as I follow the winding path, guided by nature’s botanicals. Their delicate scents linger in the air – fresh figs in the walled garden, soothing lavender on the terrace and the gentle warmth of citrus in the orangery.

This collection captures that fleeting trail as it evolves through the seasons. It’s a tribute to nature’s unique ability to both ground and uplift – and to the enduring joy my garden brings me each day.

I hope many of you will have the opportunity to experience the collection if you are visiting Chelsea this year. If not, it will be available in all Bamford spas and online from Tuesday 9th June.
