I am really excited about the opening of Nic Webb’s exhibition at our Bamford store on Draycott Avenue.
Nic is a British painter and maker who draws upon traditional skills to produce works that are entirely contemporary yet in essence timeless, primal, organic and free.
For the past few months he has been exploring the woods, fields and paths of Daylesford for the inspiration and raw materials for this latest collection of spoons and vessels.
The handcrafted spoons have been carved out of fallen trees, whilst the pots have been made with clay collected from the land and fired by kilns stoked with ashes made from burning wood from the farm.
The glaze too is a Daylesford glaze – a soft ash colour that perfectly compliments the natural hues and tones of the Autumn Winter collection. In fact, the entire exhibition is the perfect match for Bamford’s Autumn Winter campaign, which was shot in the woods at Daylesford and is a celebration of nature and the English countryside.
Until 6th October
