Harvest is now underway at Château Léoube and after a warm dry spring and hot summer, we are hopeful for another good year.
So far, 2016 has been an excellent year for Léoube and I am thrilled that we have won a number of awards and accolades for our organic wines.
I am particularly proud of our Secret de Léoube, which was awarded a gold medal at the Concours Mondial du Rose 2016, Silver at the Decanter World Wine Awards (where it was awarded 90 points out of 100) and Winner of the Chairman’s trophy at the Ultimate Wine Challenge 2016, where it scored an incredible 96 points out of 100.
Other notables include 90 Points at the Robert Parker’s Wine advocates and 17 points out of 20 by the esteemed Jancis Robinson.
I have always believed that if you respect the land and nourish it, you will get the best fruit in return. I hope that the flourishing organic vines at Léoube, and our ever-growing number of international awards, stand testimony to this approach.
