Preparations are now well under way for this year’s Summer Festival, which takes place at the farm on Saturday 21st May.
This is an event that I look forward to every year – a day of celebration when we can open the gates to our farm and share our passion for organic farming, food and craftsmanship with you all.
Bring the family along to meet and greet our farm animals – hens and chicks, Kerry Hill, Ryeland and Cotswold sheep and lambs, our rare breed cattle and calves and the Gloucester Old Spot Pigs.
Our Dairy Barn will be dedicated to beautiful homeware ranges, ceramics, candles, linen and hand-crafted earthenware products and our market stalls will be filled with seasonal food made by hand on the farm.
The Summer Festival is all about families and this year there is even more for children to do, including face painting, fairground rides and outdoor adventures with BUSHCRAFT as well as block printing for all ages in the Bamford Barn.
Over in the Haybarn there will be free Yoga and Meditation sessions, guided yoga walks and acupressure taster sessions, as well as a bath and body sale.
Our farm tours with Richard Smith are always popular and there will also be cookery demonstrations in the Cookery School, live music, guided walks around the market garden and, of course, Lily’s dog show – a highlight every year.
For an insight in to our festival, please watch the film below and I hope to see you on the day.
