This summer we are holding a special series of children’s floristry classes, which are a wonderful way to encourage budding floristry skills in children aged 5-12.

On Thursday 20th July our floristry team are holding Children’s Jam Jars: a fun morning exploring the market garden to learn about how plants grow and to gather flowers, before making pretty jam jar arrangements to take home.

Children’s Planting follows on Saturday 22nd July and Saturday 29th July, when children will learn how to identify different plants and how they can start gardening and caring for plants at home.

On Thursday 27th July it is Children’s Tiaras and Headdresses. Young students will enjoy a guided walk around the market garden to gather their choice of home-grown flowers, before heading back to the workshop to create beautiful floral crowns, tiaras and headpieces to take home.

And then finally on Thursday 3rd August it is a return to traditional past times, with a morning of flower pressing. The morning will start in our cutting garden, to gather flowers to then press in to cards and keepsakes.
