For centuries, dry rosé wine has been a staple in the south of France, where it is has long been considered the best wine to enjoy day and night beside the sea.

This view of rosé as an all round, all occasion wine has now also caught on in England, with many considering it a wine for every season. But it is summer when rosé truly comes in to it’s own – its dry, crisp palate making rosé the ideal accompaniment to alfresco lunches in the sun.


Provence is the heart of the world’s rose production and also home to Château Léoube – our organic, biodynamic vineyard set by the sea. 2015 was an excellent year for rosé wine and at Château Léoube we enjoyed an exceptional harvest. We produce three varieties of award winning rose wine – all with their own distinctive character and taste. Our classic, house rose is the award winning Rosé de Léoube.

Pale silky salmon in colour, this is very much a rosé of elegance rather than power, a wine that grows in confidence as each mouthful is savoured. Blended from a mix of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvedre, the delicate aromas reveal scents of honey and soft red fruits.


There is an unmistakable scent of mint evoking the herbs that grow wild around the vineyards. Even the nearby sea seems to have left its mark in the appetising, slightly salted finish. Assured, understated and refined, this is a highly accomplished Provence rosé and one that we are very proud to produce.
